Tell My Story nonprofit looking for Asian American youth for upcoming film projcect

Tell My Story is a youth mental health nonprofit that creates documentary films, music, and other resources that support youth well-being. They are now actively filming our next documentary (still untitled), which centers around the theme of hope. As part of this project, they’re looking to feature a young Asian American individual, age 13–19, who can speak authentically to their journey and what gives them strength and purpose.

We fully understand the sensitivity and complexity of young people sharing their stories, especially with parental involvement. Please know that we approach this work with deep care. Our aim is not to dwell on what's wrong, but to illuminate what's possible, so that youth and parents walk away from this film feeling hopeful and empowered to take a positive next step in their lives.

Dana would be honored to speak with you if you'd like to connect or share a recommendation. They aim to complete youth filming by June 21, so we are moving forward thoughtfully yet swiftly to meet our fall 2025 release date. Please reach out to Dana if you’d like to be involved.
